ASEAN Release Semarang Declarations
Semarang city will witness the achievement of an agreement with ASEAN countries. From Semarang, the declaration will be brought to the level higher at the ASEAN summit in Bali. This was conveyed by Deputy Human Resources andCulture Bappenas Sardjunani Nina, who is also chairman of the Indonesiandelegation.
During the four days from October 8 to 11 there will be a meeting the 6th ASEANSocio-Cultural Community Council (6th ASEAN Socio Cultural Community / ASCCCouncil Meeting) and the 9th Komunite meeting of Senior Officials for the ASEANSocio-Cultural Community (9th Senior Officials Committee for the ASCC / SOCA).
The meeting will also discuss some issues on which cooperation in disaster areasthrough the establishment of the ASEAN Humanitarian Assistance on DisasterManagement (AHA Centre). Plus also, continued Nina, about the protection ofmigrant workers (migrant workers).
